There are also some jerks on both sites.

Less densely populated areas. There are more guns per capita in rural areas than urban areas. Yet murder rates are lower. Plus it's too dang cold in Canada.

America's "excessive gun ownership" results from a fully justified, fair and explicit revulsion for the wacky American Left, our very own gaggle of Pol Pot fans (Hello, Anthony Lewis?), Karl Marx fans (C'mon down, Michael Moore!), Joseph Stalin fans (Oh, yeah, there were plenty of them), Mao Tse Tung fans (zillions of today's 'rats bought his "little red book") and Kim Jung Il fans (don't you even doubt it).

I know why I have guns. And it has NOTHING to do with blacks.

Moore goes well beyond that and emphasises that fear, negativity and hysteria are the life blood of local news outlets.

I have yet to see a local news outlet with enough creativity and intelligence to generate fear, negativity and hysteria in any measurable percent of the population beyond 80 year old paranoiac shut-ins.

What they typically produce is boring, repetitive and transparently self-serving wrappers for commercials. The majority of people only watch to catch the sports or weather.

Moore's opinion of the American people must be very low if he thinks the idiocy of local TV news has any major impact on public opinion.

It's worth spending a minute or two debunking this.

Actually, before 11 September, the traditional way of dealing with hijackers was to do what they requested. Since most hijackers simply wanted to fly the plane somewhere else, like Havana, the easy and safe solution was to fly them to Havana. This was a great deal safer and more sensible than confrontation.

Of course that whole formula collapses when the hijackers are willing to kill themselves to forward a cause. Then to resist is the only correct course of action.

Ted Beamer and friends resisted because they heard about the previous flights via cellphones, and determined their fates. Then they knew there was no reason not to take action since they were doomed if they did not.

This, of course, has nothing to do with race or even a lack of bravery. The people on the earlier flights would have been just as brave if they'd had the same information as those on flight 93.

About this...no one I've seen has mentioned it...doesn't anybody remember Flight 93? Where the white guys stopped the Terrorists? You know, this guy moore is a real pig. Why would you drag racism into 9/11 when the sleezbag Islamofacists strove, and succeeded, in killing Americans and Foreigners of all stripes? Plenty of Muslims they killed too. Why try and make a black/white anti-white racist thing out of it? I think the NRA should re-fund his money and send him packing. His stupidity and its acceptance by the left & center really frighten me. Michael Moore is one guy who probably really shouldn't be armed.

Moore wants to control guns and maintain law and order. Okay, its a free country, he can stand up for a principle he holds strongly. But he exposes himself (broadside -pun intended) to charges of hypocrisy because he simultaneously cries out against the UN-America-England 'law and order' policy that demands Saddam Hussein hand in his guns. Saddam has a police record as a homicidal maniac: he is a risk to society. But maybe Moore thinks not his own society.
