In the past year, two companies have gone bust on me. I've been bankrupted three times by the companies going bust and having a divorce.

Yet the wealth gap does not make me want to scream. Why? Because I know in spite of the setbacks, if I persist, eventually I will join them. It means that I will have to be frugal. It means that I will have to improve my education, which taking the time out to do is not always easy to achieve. It will mean I'll have to work at jobs I don't like. In short, it will mean I'll have to take responsibility for myself.

People like you and the able-bodied young men I see lounging around on Upper Street who hit me up for change have nothing but my scorn and contempt. You want to hit me with higher taxation, punish me as I struggle to climb up the ladder, because you want to "scream". And when I do get there, you want to tell me I won't have deserved the fruits of my labour - rather, I'll have to keep paying you hush money.

What part of "go straight to hell you socialist pig" don't you understand?
