Carol Mosley Braun (D-Il) Will Not Run for Senate, Asks DNC Boss to Reserve Presidential Slot
ABC News Politcal Unit 'Invisible Primary 2004' Tip Sheet ^ | January 16, 2003 | Marc Ambinder

Posted on 01/16/2003 8:02:09 AM PST by ewing

According to one Democratic source who reached us right before deadline former Illinois Senator Carol Moseley Braun talked by phone last night to Democratic National Committee Chairman Terry McAuliffe, who seems to have been on his cell phone at Georgetown's Cafe Milano, where he ran into some of Americas leading political reporters.

In any event, per this one 'Golden Source' Ms. Braun told McAuliffe that she was planning to announce that she is NOT running for the Illinois Senate seat, but that she just might want to reserve one of those Presidential candidate slots at the upcoming Democratic National Committee meeting in Washington D.C.

If all of this is true, we wonder:

1.What Al Sharpton thinks of this?

2. What Donna Brazile has to do with this?

And we will be making calls to find that out shortly, after we finish this Note.

This is part of Brazile's anti-Sharpton strategery..to have favorite son black candidates in various states to cut into Rev. Al's black voters..

This has been Donna Brazile's Dim strategy all along to prevent Sharpton from usurping Jesse as the #1 leader among black and 'keep everyone in line.'

Have 'Jihad Cindy' run in the Democratic Southern Primaries and Carol Mostly Faud cover the Central and Northeast Caucuses.

Hopefully, she won't need Barbara Lee to come out of the bag out west!

Absolutely!! Wait till Dennis Kommiecinich forms his exploratory committee, if he hasn't already done so.

Hillary has promised the people of NY to serve her entire term in the Senate. Here is how she will get out of the promise. The RAT primary is most likely going to be a blood bath with all parties seriously wounded. RAT polls will show that the people want Hillary to run. Hillary will go on a "Listening Tour" of NY to gauge the people of NYs opinion on her breaking her promise to serve her full term. The people will speak and tell Hillary to run. She will then come forward as a candidate for President to save not only the party but the Nation.

Bill promised the people of Arkansas in 1990 that if elected he would serve his full term and not run for president. In 1992 he ran for president, breaking his promise. But prior to doing this guess what he did? You got it. He went on a "Listening Tour" of Arkansas!
