I thought this was a repost of the same stories I read earlier this week.
Oh..its winter. Dogs are inside, they're not getting walked and they get restless.

Oh..its winter. Dogs are inside, they're not getting walked and they get restless. I have one wimpy dog, living in a house. She gets a bit high strung if she can't get out and run around (just like the kids). I cannot imagine 4 pit bulls in an apt. And I've read that dogs in groups are more dangerous to people because of pack behavior.
It's a shame, but I can't help but think that human stupidity had a part here.

Oh..its winter. Dogs are inside, they're not getting walked and they get restless. To cure the boredom, they kill their owners or other helpless people. So it's ok. Anyway, it's the people's fault. They didn't do something right or something. The dog breed is never to blame. Many here Just keep defending them, no matter the toll. Amazing

Hold on there missy, you just crossed into dangerous turf. There's nothing naturally wrong with pit bulls, in fact, dalmations cause more bite injuries in the US every year. What's dangerous is keeping four untrained pits cooped up in an urban apartment dump and treating them like some kind of ghetto fabulous jewelry instead of a pet. Pit bulls are insanely strong compared to other breeds, but when paired with a good owner they tend to be as mellow as the next dog.
Banning a breed of dog? Who ever heard of such socialist nonsense?

Anyway, it's the people's fault. They didn't do something right or something. From story: The boy told police the dogs turned on them after the mother spanked one of the pit bulls for defecating on the carpet.
See it was self-defense. How dare she use corporal punishment. It could have ruined the dog's self esteem and made it more likely to have aggressive tendancies later in life. Wait, that's only children, right? [/sarcasm]

The hypocracy is amazing.

Banning a breed of dog? Who ever heard of such socialist nonsense? Almost as nutty as banning a naturally occurring plant, isn't it?
Considering how many pit bull stories are hitting the national news these days, I am beginning to suspect that some federal "pit bull control" legislation is about to be introduced.
At least, it's the same pattern we've seen before with "gun control", "anti-terrorism" and "anti-crime" legislation in the past. Big media buildup followed by presciently-prepared ready-to-sign legislation that magically appears out of nowhere.

It is not the breed, but the owner.
Pittbulls are not my favorite breed, I do not personally like them. That is my personal opinion, and I will stand by it.I see no use for the breed, as the lines have been corrupted, and they are the poster child for a junkyard dog.
The previous holders of that title were Dobermans, Rottweillers, German Shepherds etc.
I had two cats that I spent(to me) an obscene amount of money carting aroud the world. One of them, of course the one I loved best, hated my infant child.I tried confinement and separation, but the situation finally degenerated to the point that I kicked(literally) the cat out of my house.
Priority
Who can possibly champion the presence of 4 pittbulls in an apartment?
This is a case of "stupid human pet tricks".
I once kept a rattlesnake as a pet.If you have a dangerous animal in your household, it is up to the adult members of the household to controll them. The dangerous animal can be counted on to act as a dangerous animal.

Also.....
Last week a woman jogger was attacked and killed in a south Chicago forest preserve by a pack of pit bulls that are living in the forest preserve! Can you belive that? Insane. Pit Bulls aren't dogs, they're hell hounds.

To: SandfleaCSC
Oh, and you are accusing who of that?
To: sarasmom
There are local ordinances pertaining to pets that take care of the problem just fine, no federal intervention is needed. Here in this locale, if an owner has a pit bull that causes trouble (damaging property, other animals), the owner is forced to give up his dog and is barred from owning any others within the county.

Almost as nutty as banning a naturally occurring plant, isn't it?I've heard that if humans dissapeared from the earth, all dogs would revert to wolves cause no one would be around to breed them. That does't sound too natural to me.
