I lost my uncle Richard Thoos in WWII, in a B17 over France. He was never found, so he is till MIA, but long ago declared dead. I am sure he would have loved to have stayed home, married, had a family and a career, but he followed a higher calling. He helped to free the world when he was a young man. He was so handsome. He looked like a clone of Harry Connick Jr. When I was in Germany in 2000 our tour guide on a sightseeing bus in Meissen and Dresden complained that the allies bombed parts of that area really bad. I thought to myself, did they want to be free of Hitler or NOT????????????????
