I like Thomas, but I don't remember what incident this is about. Besides, thomas is black. Perhaps the author is lacking in doing research.

I have repeatedly heard the story that Isaiah said of Larry Bird "If he was black he'd be just another ball player." I don't know that Isaiah really said this and I have never heard tell that he ever apologized for it. But I think this is probably what the author refers to. BTW I, too, am a big Isaiah Thomas fan.
