"Police generally advise against such heroics, recommending instead that robbery victims and witnesses make careful mental notes to help investigators identify and capture people after the fact."

BS..... The police are REACTIVE they can't do a thing until a crime is committed and a victims made.....Beat 'em, Shoot 'em, stab 'em.. do it enough and word gets out that it's not so easy to rob, and terrorize.

When I worked as a 7 Eleven clerk in my younger days, I was taught to give the money and get them out of the store. We were advized we would be fired otherwise.

I did ome checking with my sources at another 7 Eleven franchise store then this one, and learned this kid was not let go for his brinksmanship with the robber.

I'll have to think on this situation in the context of today's society, because if I were the store owner I would fire him. Maybe it is me who is using outmoded thinking here. But even if I were in that situation and did that, I wouldn't blight him with a bad reference.

I have no love for armed robbers, that's for certain.
