"Police generally advise against such heroics, recommending instead that robbery victims and witnesses make careful mental notes to help investigators identify and capture people after the fact."

Impossible, however, if one is dead. This is conveniently never mentioned. A better long term solution is to kill robbers "after the fact", thus giving pause to would-be robbers in the future. As it is, they have little fear and even less respect for human life and private property since they are usually assured of a docile, de-balled and compliant weenified society. This situation will change or the problem will only become far worse than anyone can imagine.

Total agreement.

Giving in to the demands of criminals only opens the door to encouraging the extremes of their depravity: 'Do what you will, I won't resist!'

You may think this is the safe route, but people ought to do what their instincts tell them to do. The blame, guilt and fault ALL belong on the head of the perp and politicians that create laws to prosecute the victims should be canned.

So, yeah, batter-up!
