1. 9th Circuit ruled Pledge of Allegiance unconstitutional because of the phrase "one nation under God." 2. CA State Superintendent of Public Instruction pronounced homeschooling illegal. 3. New law forces abortion training for all gynecologists/obstetricians. (AB 2194 - Jackson, D-Santa Barbara) 4. San Francisco judges officially instructed not to participate or affiliate with the Boy Scouts. 5. Hayward Unified School District adopted a policy to allow teachers to "come out" in their classes and publicize their sexuality. 6. Union dues objector forced to give dues money to Planned Parenthood, Gay and Lesbian Alliance, or the ACLU. 7. Corona public library openly allowed young children to check out any "R" rated movies, without any parental consent or notice. 8. While using a pro-Islamic textbook, students were required to enact actual practices of Islam, including adopting Islamic names, building model mosques, and memorizing scripture from the Quran. 9. Elk Grove Unified School District required middle-schoolers to hear pro-homosexual presentation without prior notice to parents...just three months after they settled a lawsuit involving a similar violation of parental rights by their high school. 10. Hawaii police officers were told they no longer could say the words "so help me God" in their oath to serve. This list was prepared from feedback received throughout the year from our many supporters and large volunteer attorney network.
