The Japanese have taken Liberalism too far. They need to bring back elements of the Bushido approach without going fascist. Then they would be more truly protective of their real interests. Perhaps we might even see them taking a strong stand vis a vis the return of illegally occupied (by the stealth Soviet "new Russia," in continuum with the USSR's crimes) portions of Japan. By appeasing the Russians at this critical time, they invite further probes and pokes by both the DPRK and the PRC (note, in fact, such a probe currently happening with southern islands!).
