I worked under Walton when I was at CNN/SI - nice guy personally, but him at the helm is little more than rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic.

Our TV's at work, in the lobbies and breakrooms, all run CNN. Sometimes it's watchable. Sometimes I want to throw something at the screen when they have leftist Demopukes babbling on.

Are you saying that Walton is just another liberal and that CNN still just doesn't get it? I hope that's what you're saying...

Tell us more if you can -- I can't find much about him thru Google.
While Googling I ran into the following and think it's worth a read. It reads like it was written before Isaacson made his announcement but was published today. Interesting...

Hasn't CNN had about four top bananas in the past 2-1/2 years? And they still keep appointing the same kind of person over and over again? DUH. Oh, well - Fox should gain even more viewers if that is the case.

And they still keep appointing the same kind of person over and over again? They keep scrounging around in-house (yes, I know that Bubba's friend was from outside), and end up with more of the same. They haven't got the balls nor the brains to try something/someone radical and different from what they've been doing.
They keep getting these J-School types (and we all know who inhabit the J-Schools 'round the country), and have forgotten that the viewers want something different.
