An Illinois man has been searching for his missing dog while dressed as Scooby Doo.

Rick Arbizzani, from Florence, also waves posters at passing motorists, pleading "Please help us find our dog" and "Honk if you love dogs".

His wife, Hannah, said: "We're hoping that we make the public aware that we're missing a dog".

Not mention a few marbles - Ivan

The couple's miniature dachshund, Summer Sausage, went missing last month when she apparently jumped out of a truck, reports the Burlington County Times.

I've heard of people loving their pets, but so much that they want to become them? Really...

Anyway, I believe "Summer Sausage" is doing well:

Regards, Ivan

Is the missing dog dressed in a Scooby Doo outfit, or is it the guy?

if the owner is dumb anoufh to dress up like scooby doo, I don't wonder why the dog ran off in the first place.

I don't think the Summer Sausage in the picture is going to go back to live with Daphne and Wilma. ;-)

The dog disappeared right around the corner from my house in Florence, NJ. I saw these poor souls searching relentlessly for their pooch on Christmas day. A couple of no talent hosts from NJ's radio station called them up and gave them a bunch of crap because they cared about their dog, real mean spirited. I still keep an eye open on my ride through town on my way home.

Sorry about the dog.

As for NJ radio station hosts......too bad we can't get them 'lost'.

Carton has been rough, but Ray has been pretty sympathetic.

Carton is a loudmouth jerk and always has been. I remember him being fired from the Sportstalk radio station 610 WIP for starting rumors about I think Eric Lindros when he was a Flyer. Glad to hear Rossi has been sympathetic.
