Not only that, but it would reduce the static pressure that induces seepage. Oil has been leaking from the seabed along the California for time immemorial. The Chumash indians used it to seal their boats. Cabrillo described the rocks on the coast as black with it.

Drilling for oil in this case would reduce the fouling of tidepools and beaches. It is the environmentally sound thing to do.

We have to get this idea out there if the Demo_Rats start pushing the story related on this thread.

The President needs to know about this, so he or someone else, can throw it in the hopper for the media.

If the Demo_Rats try to use California as an excuse to fight a Republican budget, we can say "California has plenty of oil to drill for that will do wonders for the economy in the state and for the country..."
