Nice post.

The only thing I disagree with is making exceptions. If you're here illegally, you should be deported.

I don't care if you put down roots or not. Breaking the law should not be rewarded.

Never said that. But there are many levels of penalties that can be set when one is found guilty of breaking the law. Deportation is just one.

I agree that all illegals should be deported. As for the mothers-to-be that come across the border specifically to give birth and then be eligable for citizenship, I'm for sending them both back. If the mother insists that the child is now a US citizen, and she wants what is best for the child, fine, leave it here to be adopted by an American and she goes back home, knowing that she has done right by her kid. That would be her option.
