Rodham later returned the money.

Did he? Last I heard he SAID he was going to...but several months later still hadn't actually done so.

"Rodham later returned the money."

He said he returned the money, however I have yet to read proof that it was actually returned.

"Rodham later returned the money."

Perhaps this should read: "Rodham has pledged to work harder than he ever has before in his life to try to return the money as soon as possible."

A lot of promises to return money had flowed from Clinton's lips. Rodham's too. I would love to see someone obtain documented proof that such did occur.

Schaudenfraude(or however it's spelled)

Here's a pleasant little fantasy for us. This guys rolls over on Clinton to get his sentenced reduced and Clintons and his thugs get a grand jury subpoena from a aggressive U.S. attorney.
Yea, I know-- when pigs fly.

IIRC, Rodham never returned the money. At least, not a large portion of it, stating that he had already spent it.

Braswell served seven months of a three-year prison sentence for falsifying photographs and other documentation for a hair-growth product.

And on what basis did Clinton pardon him? That the customers were too dumb and deserved to get ripped off?

I wonder how many other criminals pardoned by the "Grifter in Chief" will also be re-arrested on new charges.

A quick call to Al Sharpton will clear this up.

Almon Glenn Braswell, doing business primarily under the name Gero Vita International, markets pills and potions through the mail [1]. During the past 25 years, he has probably taken in more money and more people than any similar marketer in U.S. history. One reason for his commercial success is his association with health professionals whom he lists as advisors and/or authors of articles in his publications. Some of them are also quoted with their picture in his advertising brochures.

Attorney Hugh Rodham, brother of Sen. Hillary Clinton, was paid for work on the prison commutation request of Carlos Vignali and received a "success fee" for helping win the pardon of Almon Glenn Braswell, sources said.

Owner takes Fifth in Senate 'miracles' probe
September 10, 2001

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- A businessman pardoned by President Clinton for mail fraud invoked the Fifth Amendment and refused Monday to testify before a Senate committee investigating whether his multi-million-dollar dietary supplement company markets "blatantly false" products to senior citizens.

The company, G.B Data Systems Inc., is owned and operated by Almon Glenn Braswell, who was pardoned in January by Clinton for a 1983 conviction on mail fraud related to a hair-loss product.

Braswell, appearing with his attorney, refused to answer any questions posed by Sen. John Breaux, chairman of the Senate Special Committee on Aging.

Almon Glenn Braswell, a Miami-based businessman, was convicted in 1983 of fraud and perjury in connection with a mail-order treatment for baldness he sold. Federal prosecutors in Los Angeles, where his business is based, were stunned by the pardon because it could throw a spanner into the works of the current investigation of Braswell on new charges. Mr Clinton said he was not aware that Braswell was facing a new investigation, and that his pardon was only intended to apply to the 1983 conviction. Braswell's lawyers argue it applies to the present circumstances as well, but LA prosecutors say they will proceed with their investigation anyway.

It's like we used to say in our prosecutorial days when the judge suppressed the evidence and the bandit walked. "Don't worry -- we'll get 'em again."

Tigers don't change their stipes, birds of a feather flock together, and anyone who thinks Pres. Clinton's pardons make sense is an ostrich with his head in the sand.

You folks seem to ignore the obvious and be willing to bite on the diversion. Rodham and his fee were the diversion. It was the bigs bucks that Willie probably was paid that was the key. Once the Rodham story came out, no one in the ultra-left wing media had any obligation to follow the other.

In fact, this guy must really be feeling some pressure. He might be able to get out from under the tax evasion issue by talking about the bribe for pardon issue. But, he knows what happened to Jim McDougal and knows that Arkancide has a long reach.

Always remember that it is never possible to write off any filth, crime, or corruption as being beyond the Clintons or their sewer dwelling supporters.
