I was lucky enough to know Jesse Peterson back in the "good ol' days" when we stood together a dozen years ago in protest of our "declining societal values" in Southern Oregon....he is as genuine and good as he seems...do we know how to turn them out or what!

Excellent book. I own it. Kept me awake at night for days. (kidding)

There is also a movement afoot, in VA I think (?) calling out the NAACP as not representing blacks. There is a sloooow moving momentum in this country of blacks realizing they've been had. When all you have to offer your children is poverty or getting ahead through the intimidation and extortion of other people because of the color of THEIR skin then you really have not gotten that far. Put "Up From Slavery" by Booker T. Washington back on the bookshelves. I couldn't find it years ago and had to special order it. If young blacks want a hero, they'll find him in this book.

Rev. Peterson is one brave man. Since I can't be there, I'll sure say a prayer for him on Monday.
