Islamists staging attacks in Europe would be a massive blunder: European interest in another Crusade is zero. Why stir up the people?

I'm refering to the nationalist far right wing... You should have said so in the first place!
What/who do you consider "far left"? Assuming your knowlege of the "far right" I trust that you see a "far left" in the agenda to make you see a "far right". Since you conveyed that you voted for "Dubya" where do you put him?

I've never messed around with ricinAll you need to do is spend some time going through US patents - you will find numerous safe ways to make Ricin. And "No" I will not tell you what patents to look at.
Because of the nature of ricin manufacture, much of it needs to be done in a cold environment - like a walk in refigerator. If not stored in a cold environment, it will quickly rot and be ineffective.
Fortunately, most government provided housing around where I live doesn't come supplied with walk-in refrigerators. It is highly unlikely that the government provided housing these terrorists had use of provided this equipment either. Since no mention of lab rats (to test purity) was mentioned, nor galleries of equipment to shell the castor beans and process it into something that doesn't need to be injested by the spoonfulls in order to be toxic, I seriously doubt that the batch of "ricin" was anything we should fear.
The fact that this was done in public housing is testimony enough that they didn't have the facilities to make anything too serious. Ricin's manufacture is not trivial, and the various processes for purification of the product become increasingly more complex
Just be scared like the media wants you to be.

Far Left - Chomsky, Maxine Waters, Chuck Schumer, Hitlery, most of the 'rats you see on ABCBSMSNBCNN national media.
I'd like to think Bush is solidly right of center.
That's where I'd place myself, but I'm all for Free Trade and easy immigration.
I believe America has always benifitted from good people wanting to come here and make a good life for themselves.
I reject the idea that lazy people would leave their cushy socialized medicine and guarenteed wages in their own countries, because they think they'll have a free ride in America. It no doubt happens sometimes, but sealing the borders to arabs will only keep out the arab terrorists. As we see in NK there are many countries that hate America and they ain't all arab. Immigration is a bogeyman...it is not a solution.

Free trade and easy immigration.
In many ways they are tied together.
Opponents of both have the same concerns - protecting jobs. That is not to say the closing the boarders will actually protect any jobs, just that that fears of jobs being lost is was motivates many, whether anti-NAFTA or anti-immigration, to demand the boarders shut.

Unless that free ride they are looking for leads them into a HighRise in New York.
It no doubt happens sometimes,
Yes it does, and it happened in a large scale just 2 years ago.
but sealing the borders to arabs will only keep out the arab terrorists.
And may I ask what's wrong with that?
As we see in NK there are many countries that hate America and they ain't all arab.
No but it was Muslims from Arabic countries that killed almost 3000 innocent Americans.
Immigration is a bogeyman...it is not a solution.

Actually, years ago, when my grandparents came over from Scotland, you had to have a job and a sponsor lined up before you were allowed in. Your sponsor had to agree to keep track of you and be financially responsible for you if you lost your job. It was a good system and we should think seriously about implementing it again.
Illegal aliens should be deported immediately because they really do cause harm to those who are waiting to come here legally. They inflate the demographis and next thing you know the numbers are reduced and those who are going about it the right way have to wait longer.
I think student visas should only be issued to someone who has a sponsor who is checked out for security purposes. That would solve a lot of problems and would allow legitimate students to come here and get an education. If a sponsor can not be located for a student, the government should post a bond and stand as sponsor. All people on extended visas should be subject to reporting requirements.
These are just common sense requirements. Will it stop all possibility of a terrorist getting into the country? No, but it would sure cut down the chances.

"Center of what?"
The American political spectrum. Remember you asked me about the "right" and the "left" You sound a little shaky with your memory. Maybe it's age.
Before you lose your cool, I'm just giving you a little ribbing for another comment you made which was...
"You sound like a youngin..give yourself a few years and YES your attitude WILL change.:)"
Age does not equal wisdom. I have 2 children with another on the way and I'm old enough to be President.
Me :"but sealing the borders to Arabs will only keep out the Arab terrorists."
You :"And may I ask what's wrong with that?"
I explained "what's wrong with that" in the next 2 sentences
1. As we see in NK there are many countries that hate America and they ain't all Arab.
2. Immigration is a bogeyman...it is not a solution.
You either failed to read them or found them wanting so I'll try an analogy - sealing the borders to only Arabs in attempt to steam terrorism is like locking up everybody in the State that has the most murders as a solution to the problem of crime. It punishes the innocent and doesn't stop offenders from other areas.

Security services fear a network of terrorist assassination squads has been set up across Europe to carry out random killings using exotic poisons. The method is designed to maximise panic and fear. European intelligence sources have told The Independent on Sunday they are "extremely concerned" that a number of North African terror cells linked to al-Qa'ida are active in London and other European cities and plotting attacks.
NOT TO WORRY.......
Britain and the European Commun-ity require a two weeks waiting period and official license to make exotic poisons.
(This just can't happen!)

I see nothing wrong with any thing you said. In fact I believe immigration currently requires proof of employment in the USA, Illegal aliens are deported, and student visas require sponsors.
All as it should be...as you say common sense.
The problem is many people think that is not enough.
They want billions spent on patroling the border and tracking down Jose who might be working at the canning factory.
Oh yeah, and screw anyone who is muslim.

I think the Islamofascists are at war with the whole world simultaneously on purpose. They are not bright enough to pick battles they can surely win (witness 9/11's after-effects). They merely engage all targets whenever first possible.
That is lucky for us. Islamofascism will unite the world against it by attacking the whole world pretty much contemporaneously.

"Islamofascism will unite the world against it by attacking the whole world pretty much contemporaneously."
I think you've really nailed it on the head here...it is both correct and very encouraging. Juxtapose the way the terrorists are fighting to the way Bush is doing it...one war at a time...Bush is not letting stories of terrorist ties to Saudia Arbia or Yemen take his eyes off Iraq...he simply smiles, bidding his time, and thanks them for what ever aid they will give. Their time will come soon. It looks like some of our other enemies do not want to be next on the list...did you see this?

a poll taken during the peak of the sniper shooting that showed far more Americans feared being killed by a sniper than by a terrorist attack.Since it was happening in my neighborhood - that Home Depot was my local Home Depot - I can tell you with some authority that the news media was (as usual) more whipped up with fear than most people.
Yeah, it was spooky and everyone was thinking about it, but we went about our business more-or-less as usual.
And BTW, personally I thought it was Muslim terror from day one, not merely "a sniper." Of course it turned out to be exactly that, despite the best efforts of Chief Moose and the media to downplay the reality.

Your sponsor had to agree to keep track of you and be financially responsible for you if you lost your job. It was a good system and we should think seriously about implementing it again. We have implemented it again.
For family-based immigrant visas, it's called the "Affidavit Of Financial Support," and it legally obligates the sponsor to keep an immigrant off local, state, or federal welfare. It ends once that immigrant meets any of several conditions including citizenship.
I've never read once in any newspaper of a sponsor being sued by any government to recover public assistance costs to a legal immigrant, 100 percent of whom are by defintion covered by an AoFS. It is quite possible that legalimmigrants do not avail themselves of public assistance, or do so in such small numbers that there's no news to report. The AoFS makes it legally difficult to take a free ride on welfare.
However there's no doubt whatsoever that illegal aliens use public assistance of all forms to a faretheewell. Look at California.
The insanity of our immigration "system" is that illegal aliens are treated better than legal immigrants. That is a fact.

I think the Islamofascists are at war with the whole world simultaneously on purposeIsn't it the case that something like 26 of 30 global conflicts are pitting Islamists against ... somebody? ... anybody?
The "purpose" is that they are set on creating a global Caliphate under sharia law. They're quite blunt about that goal.
On the other hand, Islamists have historically been as much at war with each other (perhaps more so) than with "infidels."

"It's probably also an easier place to 'practice' in advance of hitting the US."
Yes. Because we have had 30 yrs of NORAID funded IRA terrorism and so have got used to it.
To eat enough ricin to kill you will make you sick first. V large molecule 63K daltons difficult to absorb and associated crap due to impure distillation and extraction make you v sick. castor oil is well known and widely used emetic and opurgative.Very poor terror weapon, try cyanide, adulterated baby food, Tylenol, talcum powder in the post.
Celebrity terrorists cooks in a back street kitchen are going nowhere. Dodgy kebab shops and adulterated ecstasy pose greater threat to life in London.

The terrorists talk a lot about the USA and Israel being their targets, and no doubt they are. However, I think they wish to bury all western (Christian) and Jewish civilization. Their rants against the US and Israel help mask their true intentions!

Biggest threat to Europe is subsidised US farmers not a bunch of jihad celebrity cooks in back street kitchen labs.
