After all these years with no cats in my life, some jerk threw two kittens out in front of my daughter. I said "no cats in this house" and she gave them away, but one of them got pregnant, and she helped to find homes for the litter. One didn't get taken. That is the tortoise shell cat in the pic.

Later the mom of that cat got pregnant again and the father of the boy she gave it to said he would kill it. We took the pregnant cat in, found homes for all but one of the kitties, had the mom fixed and sent it back to my daughter's friend.

My kids know I take in strays... dogs that are lost, raccoons that are injured, youngsters who are in a crisis with their families.

I guess I should have planned on being a mother to cats at some point.

My daughter had 12 kittens here in the past year, finding homes for the offspring of two kittens that were thrown from a car in front of her at the park

Oh wow .. thank goodness your daughter was there to take care of them and Honey for being so loving to welcome them in her home
