Palestinian children foiled in Netzarim attack

Two Palestinian boys aged eight and 13 armed with knives were captured Saturday night after infiltrating Netzarim in the northern Gaza Strip in an attempted terror attack.

The two tried to stab the son of one of the residents, but the boy succeeded in evading them and alerted his father, who opened fire after seeing their knives, causing them to flee.

One of the Palestinians then fled into the house of Rabbi Zion Tawill, who also drove him off by shooting at him.

The youth then spotted another resident and told him he was a Thai worker. He was invited him into the man's home and offered a glass of water before security forces arrived and arrested him. His accomplice was captured by soldiers a short time later.

No Netzarim residents were wounded in the attack. The older Palestinian boy suffered a gunshot wound in the buttocks and the younger one suffered a hip fracture. They were treated by a medical team from the Gaza Coast Regional Council at the Karni crossing before being taken to Beersheba's Soroka Hospital. Hospital spokeswoman Shira Chen described their wounds as moderate.

Details of the sequence of events were still unclear late last night, with IDF officials still investigating the incident and questioning residents involved.

Security officials noted that in recent weeks there has been a sharp escalation in attempts to infiltrate Israeli settlements in the area, often by Palestinian youths who are sent to carry out such attacks as a test for acceptance into one of the terrorist organizations.

Gaza Coast Regional Council spokesman Eran Shterenberg said the infiltration proves that terrorists continue to attempt to infiltrate the area despite the obstacles, and the situation proves that Labor Party leader Amram Mitzna's plans are irrelevant. Without harsh steps and the permanent presence of security forces in Palestinian areas, barriers alone are worthless, he said.

The attempted infiltration occurred despite a plea by Palestinian Authority Chairman Yasser Arafat to all the terrorist organizations to refrain from carrying out attacks against civilians until after the Knesset elections, claiming such actions harm the Palestinian cause.

In other violence over the weekend, three Palestinians were killed in the West Bank and Gaza Strip. Zihad Baisi, 17, of Khan Yunis, died of wounds sustained on Friday when a grenade he was preparing exploded. Palestinians reported he was a member of Islamic Jihad.

On Saturday, Basman Shanir, 20, was killed by soldiers in the Askar refugee camp as he prepared to throw a firebomb at them. Shortly before the incident shots were fired at the soldiers.

Also Saturday, the body of Hamas member Sami Zidan was found near Urif in Samaria. Palestinians believe he was killed in clashes with security forces several days earlier.

Palestinians reported that Tarek Abu Jaber, 15, was killed by IDF gunfire in the Aida refugee camp near Bethlehem on Friday while throwing stones at soldiers.

Early Friday morning the IDF demolished the home of Fatah terrorist Darian Muhammad Tawfik Abu Haisha, who carried out the suicide bomb attack at the Maccabim roadblock on Purim last year, wounding two policemen.

In the West Bank, shots were fired at troops in Nablus, at Yad Yair near Ramallah, and at soldiers deployed in Askar refugee camp in Nablus.

In the Gaza Strip on Saturday, Palestinians fired a mortar shell at an Israeli settlement in the southern Gaza Strip, but no one was wounded. Shots were fired at soldiers deployed near Neveh Dekalim and Rafah.

Over the weekend security forces arrested a number of fugitives in Beituniya and Beit Kahil northwest of Hebron and in Hebron, and on Saturday shots were fired and a bomb thrown at soldiers in Jenin.

Its like the Hitler youth all over again. It is so sad that these boys are being brainwashed to this extent. And what about the IDF soldiers that sometimes have to shoot these boys? I was watching an interview on the history channel with a former Hitler youth. The man said his mind was so warped there was no way he would listen to reason and the only way to stop him at that time would have been to kill him.

The older Palestinian boy suffered a gunshot wound in the buttocks

No doubt the UN will pass a resolution condemning Israel for this horrible religious crime. Five times a day a muslim is supposed to point his butt to the sky in prayer. How is this poor victimized palie supposed to perform his prayers now that his ass has been martyred for allah? Also, the PA will probably issue a press release claiming the "zionist conspirators" are now mutilating arabs to prevent them from worshipping properly.

Zihad Baisi, 17, of Khan Yunis, died of wounds sustained on Friday when a grenade he was preparing exploded. Palestinians reported he was a member of Islamic Jihad.

Blew his own ass up...

On Saturday, Basman Shanir, 20, was killed by soldiers in the Askar refugee camp as he prepared to throw a firebomb at them. Shortly before the incident shots were fired at the soldiers.

Bad timing here, run into the middle of a firefight with a molotov coctail in your hand. Tends to get one shot.

Palestinians reported that Tarek Abu Jaber, 15, was killed by IDF gunfire in the Aida refugee camp near Bethlehem on Friday while throwing stones at soldiers.

Bringing a rock into a gun fight does not work well either.

Two Palestinian boys aged eight and 13 armed with knives were captured Saturday night after infiltrating Netzarim in the northern Gaza Strip in an attempted terror attack.

The two tried to stab the son of one of the residents... who opened fire after seeing their knives, causing them to flee.

I like how they ran into the Rabbi's house to get protection from the mean old Jew who objected to them trying to slash his kids throats.

Here they bring a knife to a gun fight.

These Pali terrorists are dying of a terminal case of stupidity more than anything else.

There are no words of sufficient condemnatory power to address the evil of men who send children out to kill and die. I can't imagine what the minds of such men must be like.

It no longer puzzles me that pederasty and the most brutal of physical abuses of women and children are rampant throughout the Muslim Middle East. People who'll use children as guided missiles will do anything.
