Tom Liddy, the young, handsome, erudite son of G. Gordon Liddy, won an important election this morning which I attended as a Precinct Committeeman. He is now the Chairman of the Maricopa County Republican Committee. He was elected by the Precinct Committeemen of Maricopa County as a write-in candidate.
His most recent qualifications for this assignment were: He was First Vice-Chair for District 20 in 2002; he was a volunteer for JD Hayworth for Congress in 2002; he was a Precinct Comitteeman for District 6, 2000-2002; and he was a congressional candidate in 2000.
Also included in his resume:
Counsel, New Mexico Recount, November-December 2000.
Counsel, Nevada Recount, November-December 1998.
Counsel, Pennsylvania Recount, November-December 1996.
Counsel, Committee of Credentials, Republican National Convention, San Diego, 1996.
Counsel, Western Region RNC, 1996-1998.
Republican National Committee, Deputy Counsel, 1995-1998.
He was also a volunteer on numerous campaigns.

Here's a link with his photo. I would say he is in his early 30s.

As a guy in his mid-50's, it does my heart so good to see new patriots like Tom Liddy come along.
God Bless them all!
Such wonderful young mind-and-muscle is needed to take out the liberal trash that's been piling up for decades.

Times are changing around here in AZ.
We have 39 State Republican representatives of 60.
Just wish our Matt Salmon would have won as Governor.

Will Tom Liddy stay Republican if the Liddy family "hero," John McCain, defects to the Democrats? The Liddys are solidly pro-McCain but of course far more conservative than McCain.
To: Theodore R.
As far as I can tell, Tom is as solid a Republican as there ever was.

Yes, but is he McCain-proof?
To: Theodore R.
I really think so. I don't think he would ever do what John McCain tried to do to President Bush.
I was on the Recall John McCain campaign, also.

Hi, Slip. I went to his fundraiser in Tucson shen he was running for Congress. His Dad was there and signed a book for my son.
Tom is a great guy. Who did he beat?
John Munger won this morning in Pima, but got a hefty challenge from Barb Hein.
Will you and CL be at the state meeting?
To: Slip18
I will be at the swearing-in on Monday as a guest of freshman conservative Bob Stump (R Glendale). Thank God we have people like him to stand up to Butch.
To: DLfromthedesert
Probably not going to the State Meeting.

Killed me Matt didn't get the Governorship.
She won't get anything of a liberal nature passed, though, with the Senate and Representatives because of the Republican majority.
We're actually one vote shy of a veto-proof majority in the House.
