One-Term President?
This is a little late but wouldn't it be fun if former Senate Majority Leader Trent Lott (if voting as a Democrat chokes him up as it does me) went back to Congress as a declared Independent? Maybe he could get some friends to go with him.
I'll tell you one thing, it would make Bush look at his hole card, and maybe he would have to cash in some chips the next election. He could turn out like his father and be a one-term president.
The present situation really turned the tide. There was probably enough against him already to beat him in a general election. He and his opponent tried to outdo each other in promising to outdo the other in regard to Social Security's medicine allowance, for instance, to get our vote. They were both lying, in my opinion.
What will they promise whom next? His advisers had better be looking for another job also or backpedaling quickly, as this current depression (yes, depression) is already worse than the last in many ways. And, it is getting worse every day. I remember the last one very well. I saw it start and I saw it end. Well, it's starting again.
So come on, Mr. Lott, turn it over to the Democrats. It can't get much worse. I am an Independent who has been voting Republican. I did everything I could to get Bush elected, but never again.

Is it possible that some Republicans and Independents will sit out 2004 over the Lott situation and increases in national spending in the Bush administration? Perhaps the Pickering nomination and the tax cut unveiled last week will make potential dissenters from the GOP think twice.

Maybe I'm reading it wrong, but it looks to me like the letter writer is not saying that Bush screwed Lott over, it's that he wishes Lott had become a Democrat so that Bush's plans could be stopped.
Which is one the strangest things I've ever read.
Personally, I think the letter writer is simply some inarticulate old nut. And he probably never voted Republican a day in his life.

Is it possible that some Republicans and Independents will sit out 2004 over the Lott situation I doubtr if even Lott's wife and children like him that much.
The man is a weasel who talks first and thinks later.
If you don't like Bush's spending, then sitting out the elections to put in a DemonRat is gonna cause spending that will give you a heart attack.

(yes, depression) No, Lester, it is not a depression. It is not even close.
Buy an economics book, if you can't buy a clue.
(PS - He voted for Bush like I voted for Barney Frank.)

Lubbock Letter Writer Says He Will No Longer Vote for Bush write rambling, inarticulate letters without taking a writing course.
To: Theodore R.
I know at least three that claim to no longer be interested in voting for him - not including me. I don't matter because I'm in CA anyway, but the others are in TX and FL.
I fully intend to sit at home and drink beer rather than walk the 50 yards or so to vote - just like I did for GHWB and Dole.
That assumes he doesn't start taking names and kicking asses. I don't see that happening. It haven't seen it yet.

This is the dead giveaway:
I did everything I could to get Bush elected, but never again.
BTW, what's a "hole" card?

I am also an Independant voter and will not vote for bush or any dem. Bush publicly attacked the moron lott, but, has said nothing about sen. murray praising of bin laden. I guess an implied racist statement is worse than the praising of a murderer.
Get your Spiritual houses in order because it' all over for freedom and liberty. Don't believe it? Read the Gestapo and Fatherland laws, oops, excuse me the "patriot and "homeland"false security laws.
Remember these two words: "Critical Infrastructure" which are in the Fatherland law. They include the internet and the control of same by the government.
For those of you who believe any politician cares about the "regular" people (another trigger word uttered by sen edwards who used it about 15 times in one speech). just keep in mind thet have a special safe place for the "shadow" government, but, no shelters for us.
Also, keep in mind that our "conservative Prez and "conservative" congress has already spent $782,000,000,00 of NEW spending on social issues in 3 short years, in addition to violating their SWORN oaths to uphold the Constitution on 3 occasions so far: CFR, Gestapo law, Fatherland law. Also, the republicrats have given a chairmanship to the lowlife dem leahy even tho they have the majority which adds to my belief that there is no difference between these corrupt
b@stards.
At election time, I will remember and will remind all whom I come in contact with.
