As far as I know, the government stripped the Hunts of all of their silver, prosecuted them and they declared backruptcy.

Yes, here I am again. During the last big bull market many moons ago the Hunt brothers actually succeeded in cornering the silver market. They succeeded too well. The government disapproved of their deed, so it changed the rules in midstream, crucified and bankrupted them, and demonstrated to all observers that you can't fight the feds.

Or, as the Greek tragedians used to say about overreaching hubris, "Count no man happy until he is dead."
