Thank you....I really am writing a book on this subject. This is a terrible problem....what has happened over history is the men have stopped "coming through". Their loss of integrity, broken promises, etc, have caused women to find their life on their own. Men have been raised to "compete" and when they see someone who makes more money or is more successful in business, etc, and when he is with a woman like this, his competition game begins. Unfortunately, the woman's head is spinning. She doesn't know why the man suddenly feels the urge to put her down and control her in an unhealthy way just so he feels okay about himself. Her motivation for this is survival and security....Since he doesn't protect her anymore, she has to protect herself. His unhealthy insecurity causes her to not trust him more and her inability to mistrust the man, causes him to not want to be close to the woman. Do you see the vicious cycle?

Sorry, it's late....I had a few grammatical and spelling errors....
I meant to say that her inability to TRUST the man, causes the man to not want to bond with the woman....because the man wants to be "needed".

The viscious cycle is created when the sexes try to switch roles. Just be feminine and let the man be masculine. It's not about dominance and submission it's about being who you really are.

Yes, points well taken. You have also managed to leave out a few. Add to that, that so many people have been spoiled, never having had to live through a major war nor " hard times ", selfish, don't have very much, if anything to talk about ( my daughter called them " empty suits " ... the guys who only talked about themselves, work, and / or sports ), and don't have any, what used to be called " social graces ". Today's young men do NOT know how to court and woo a woman. Forget woo ... they don't even know how to date !
When my daughter was single, I used to joke about opening a school to teach her age group how to date. Well, I was only 1/2 joking. It seems as though the guys on FR ( and some women too ) could use my expertise. LOL
Good luck with the book !
