She certainly didn't think the officers were a threat to her dog. Mrs. Smoak certainly did think the officers were a threat, since she was on her knees, handcuffed, and she had no idea what the hell was going on!
It's too bad the poor dog didn't take a chunk out of Hall's throat. At least he'd have died doing something valiant.

sinkspur, you are right, i think Mrs. Smoak was not only scared for her life, but the lives of her family not to mention the dog.
