Aren't we at war right now? If that is the case, why are our Federal buildings opening themselves to people with fake identifications? Why, also, are we screeing all the passengers at airports? Should the airlines be allowed to accept these matriculas, as well???

Didn't the voters put the Republicans in charge last November? Why is Pelosi allowed to run around doing things like this?

I guess I also did not realize that a Senator could make changes effecting a Federal building on their own. Isn't it a FEDERAL building, therefore under the jurisdiction of the entire FEDERAL government, I'm guessing our U.S. Congress, thus subject to the rules set forth by the governing body?

I could be way off base on this one. Any takers??

Are we to understand that Mexican ID is the same as no ID at all?

Here's an article by the Washington Post about them.

Just a small nit-pick - Pelosi is a House member, not a Senator...

. "There is no one in the United States of America that needs a [Mexican-issued] ID card other than someone who is here illegally or someone here who is a felon," said Rep. Tom Tancredo,

Illegal immigration is a felony, so what's the difference between an illegal immigrant and a felon? Nothing!

From the article:"Miguel has a job, a truck and an apartment in Northeast Denver complete with satellite TV. ...Miguel ... lined up at the local Mexican consular office to obtain a matricula consular. That's the new high-tech identity card that smoothes daily life in the United States for Mexicans, like Miguel, living here with no driver's license, Social Security card or other official form of identification.

So if Miguel has no driver's license, he probably is driving uninsured. If he has no SS card, he's probably not paying any taxes.

Oh, I can surely see how these illegals are a boon to our economy (sarcasm off).

You know what it takes to rent a Ryder truck? A valid driver's license and a credit card. A Middle Eastern terrorist could get one of these as a Mexican-looking fellow, go straight to get a driver's license, then take $500 in cash to a bank and get a secured Visa. Then, head to the Ryder rental place and pick up the ole bombmobile...or...better yet, just use their Mexican ID to get on an airplane and cause mayhem...fortunately nothing like this would EVER happen!

Didn't GW last month allow the Mexicans to drive their trucks into our country? Hasn't GW refused to secure our borders? So what's the difference? Illegal is illegal is illegal & your safety in this nation is compromised. All thanks to this "Two-Party Cartel".

Pingarino!

I'm amazed that one lowly Rep. has the power to override security precautions anywhere. Can she also order these cards to be accepted at San Francisco Airport? How about a Federal Courthouse? How about anywhere and everywhere within her district?

Nancy Botoxsi is one evil apparition. Protecting and aiding felons... Who'd a thunk. If these aliens have a drivers license they are also registered voters-- a large block of the CA demons. No wonder Gov Duffus won (Botoxsi, Boxer, Feinstein, too)

Sure registered voters, bank accounts, federal assistance programs, but how many have signed on to fight for our country? That's one card they need to check for, their draft card. And if they are in the age group required to register and they have not done so, the FBI office is right upstairs, as they can now be charged with a Felony and get a "Go to jail card". Make that a "Go Home" card, cuz the jails are full. This Peelowsee broad needs a spanking.
