The family is still in major denial. They are confident the object will not be Laci because "Scott had nothing to do with it." They continue to believe it was a stranger abduction.

What you said, about an insurance policy...

I still subscribe to the notion, posted by someone on one of these threads, that a person wanting to collect life insurance would have made sure the body was found, quickly.

But there are other things. What about a possible inheritance? This couple lived well, and it could easily have been just from their own earnings, BUT it could also have been because maybe Laci had had an inheritance or something. Maybe that property had been placed in some account on which Scott was made the joint owner. If so, if she dies, he's the sole owner, and that's even without probate.

And there is the question of, who contributed over $300,000 to the reward fund? Someone, who seems to have thought a lot of Laci, appears to have a good bit of money available. Who?

On Wed. night on Fox news someone said that they interviewed the girlfriends or a relative, and they said that the husband was such an avid fisherman, that he had the baby's room all decked out in fishing gear.

An answer to a question: I thought she had called her mother in the morning and told her she was going to walk the dog and go get something for dinner that night. Or she told Scott that. And I thought they said her purse and wallet was at the house. Am I correct? Karen
