Do you remember the case of that army doctor, who murdered his whole family and claimed it was by some Manson family-type hippies? It took a long time for his inlaws to be able to get their minds around the idea that their son-in-law could have possibly killed their daughter and all their grandchildren.

Also, remember the OJ case, in which her family was too in awe of their famous son-in-law to step in and help their abused daughter.

Thank you. I was trying to think of the case where the inlaws could not fathom their son in law, murderer. That is exactly the case that was nagging me. If the "object" in the water is her and if her husband did it, I believe he will base his next move on the reaction he receives from the family. Perhaps they will start turning on one another. Before it was an emphatic no, Scott could not do this, now the sister has come down a notch since this news and says she "hopes" he had nothing to do with it. I find that interesting. Doubt may be starting to enter the picture. If I find it hard to believe a man could kill his unborn child, I can imagine how hard this would be for the family to believe. Again, I hope she comes home and he is innocent.
