Yes agreed. I thought perhaps this was a joke, I guess not. Peterson should have picked someone else. This just makes him look worse (If that is possible).

I think one of the divers has a busted ear drum from the dives or, at least, I think that's what I heard.

I don't know how many they are using but I'm sure they must all be tired after searching for days.

Actually, her sister (?) said on Greta's show that the stepfather is the one who called the police.

The last I saw, she was due Valentine's Day.

This is making me sick. If that is her, it's not just her.

I said I thought that someone she knew, came along and she got in the car, probably voluntarily. Speculation that this was a former lover, would of course exist.

I have not speculated that she still had a lover, only that she got into a car with a man.

Berkeley Marina is not on a lake. Infamous Berkeley is on the east San Francisco Bay and, BTW, it isn't 150 miles from Modesto...It's 150 miles round trip from Modesto.

who would want to go fishing in a lake/bay where dead bodies are found on a regular basis. yeesh!

Well... I could understand it for two reasons A. The fish are eating good, and B. I don't eat fish anyway...

Well, maybe it is police trying to flush the hubby out. Especially by saying they won't try again until Sat. I keep hoping she just took off.

KYVU2 out of Oakland, which I receive via Cox Cable here in Eureka ahd a lengthy report on the case. Modesto police said the object was found at 6pm(dark?)Said thet will not return till Sat. Are these divers hardhat or scuba and why can't find replacement divers. I wonder if this is just a headcase for old Scott to crack.

My apologies - in the navy, we fished (no pun intended) enough floaters out of the water, that I may be a bit more callous than I should be...

today with dna, and high tech, you wonder why people even bother with murder. chances are, they'll get caught! most people are not murdered by strangers, but by family, friends or business associates.

Generally speaking you are correct. But on occasion they have one that the family member has done a good job of hiding. We have a case that is fairly close to Modesto where a lady disappeared from a shopping center around two Christmas' ago. She has never been found. The police proved that the hysband was having an affair. The husband has to be the prime suspect, but W/O a body it is pretty hard to prove.

The daughter of the women is a neighbor. She is still not dealing with it very well. But who would, since there is no closure?? The not knowing would drive anyone more crazy, than finding the body.
