You've put your finger right on one of the biggest problems any of us face. If folks knew how little power "we, the people" actually have, if they realized who's really running the country, how and why, we might be able to drum up a little old-fashioned righteous indignation. But we're all so darned busy with our daily lives we can't be bothered to look out for the country.

Perhaps I'm naive, but I believe we have the power, we just don't use it, for the reasons you state and because folks think their vote doesn't matter. Sad.
