You can claim and allege anything you want, and depending on the state they may allow it.......where i am from, people claim emotional distress claims all the time from cars hitting dogs, and they are never allowed.....the most you get is ACV on the animal.

A car hitting a dog is almost never intentional, nor is it committed by professionals acting in the line of duty. The fault generally lies primarily with the owner for allowing the dog to get loose. Not comparable. Try again.

I don't know where you live or the rules there, but I would say that cars hitting dogs (accident) and people shooting dogs (intentional) are two different things.

Anyone who shoots my dog is going to find that the lawsuit is the least of his problems. Dogs are on our team. They are not people, but they are not just property either.

Apples and oranges. When a car hits a dog it's an accident. When a policeman shoots a dog even though the situation was clearly avoidable, that's not an accident.
