Folks, conservatism appears to be alive and well even here in NYC and although it has to be in the minority, the following poster could have just clinched the convention hosting for us:

This photograph was taken in a subway station in the morning over the weekend...later in the day, it was GONE!

Just thought Freepers would like to know that there's hope for this city yet if there're posters like these around!

Those are pretty poor limericks. Irregular scanning.

Playboy magazine is famous for having the highest poetic standards, requiring perfect scanning for each line.

Are they Bub? I'm afraid I'm clueless regarding the form of limericks...Thanks for noticing though. Hope my larger point is not lost, however and that is that some how, in NYC, some one's had the anatomy to (a) write this way and (b) put it before the public.

You're probably right...just consulted the book (yes, I bought a copy) and the first limerick is a disclaimer regarding form - the author seems to want to emphasize substance and in my read of it he'd succeed at p_ing off a lot of liberals.

Any other opinions out there?
