It's like another Democrat saw -- the point that they believe it is an economic stimulus to extend people's unemployment benefits. I was unemployed late in 2001, and I can tell you I would rather have a JOB than extended unemployment benefits. But that is another way that the Democrats keep their minions in bondage, rather than free-up opportunities.
I will say this: I believe that Bush's plan, whatever the details, is probably more healthy for the economy and the nation than what the Dems propose. Since the Dems are experts at use of smoke and mirrors, I hope that part of the White House strategy is to do some basic economic education on people, so that the people will be able to tell substance from symbolism in the coming economic debate.
I think we agree. I'm just saying with all the billions Bush is throwing around for states, I hope it is closely monitored. Bush's plan will be better for the US than any fake Dem "fiscal responsibility"" plan -- meaning 'we raise your taxes to pay for our spending.'
