You really would have to read the book to understand.
When I first read the book, I too felt it *was* blasphemous. That darn book started me on a very long journey and led me back to the church from which I had been estranged for so long...
I finally realized (for myself) that it's not just all about the Resurrection, but about His Life and His Teachings.

What you said, and thanks for saying it.

- 1 Corinthians 15 And if Christ is not risen, then our preaching is ~EMPTY~ and your faith is also ~EMPTY~. Yes, and we are found false witnesses of God, because we have testified of God that He raised up Christ, whom He did not raise up--if in fact the dead do not rise. For if the dead do not rise, then Christ is not risen. And if Christ is not risen, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins! Then also those who have fallen asleep in Christ have perished. If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men the most pitiable.
If Christ did not die on the cross, then He did not die for your sins and He was not raised from the dead. Your faith is empty and you are still dead in your sins.
