A former Taiwanese politician who was involved in a high-profile sex scandal last year has split from her Chinese boyfriend after she decided to publish a nude photo book, it was reported today.
Chu Mei-feng, 37, had planned to marry a Chinese man named Xu Changsheng in February 15, or the Lantern Festival, the United Daily News said.
It said Xu issued a statement in China yesterday saying he had to break from Chu as she plans to publish a nude photo collection in Singapore despite his objection.
Chu shot to notoriety in December 2001 when she was filmed by an estranged friend having sex with a married man.
The 40-minute video compact disc of the former Taipei city councillor's romp was given away free by a tabloid magazine, "Scoop", and spread throughout Asia via the Internet and black markets.
Chu has cashed in on her notoriety by launching a singing career, performing to sell-out crowds in Singapore and Hong Kong. However, she was banned from performing in Malaysia on the grounds that she was a bad role model for young people.

The VCD was available in the United States on E-Bay and easily downloadable from numerous websites.

However, she was banned from performing in Malaysia on the grounds that she was a bad role model for young people. Apparently Malaysia is in the Red Zone.

no, Malaysia is a hotbed of Muslim censorship. I have a Malaysian friend who is forced to get heavy-metal music from us here in the States, because it's illegal. He couldn't even start a heavy metal band because no one would rent him rehersal space and no bar owners would book his band.
also you can't even get Playboy magazine there, however some of Asias most hard-core porn is available on VCD at local markets.
it's weird
