Fire everyone that stops working. I'm sure that others will come to replace them.

The plan kicks in as soon as Bush declares war, begins bombing, or deploys troops.

We've been bombing targets and troops are deployed. That two out of three. These people are morons. It probably should have been stated that they'll protest when offensive military operations start.

Great. This whole thing is an excuse to get drunk and tear up the town. I'm glad I don't live in Seattle.

What they need are Iraq Americans countering their protests and telling them what Saddam Hussain is really like. That would shut their mouths quickly enough. These people have no idea what its like.

OR - We can ship them out to Iraq and leave them there when the bombing starts. Yea that sounds better!!!

I didn't see any reference to "aid and comfort to the enemy" in the article, where was it?

I heard an interview of a guy who was born in Iraq then emigrated here. He was for Iraqi liberation and supports GW Bush. There should be more of these interviews. They should put this guy and others like him on Fox News. It's my understanding that ex-Iraqis support the war overwhelmingly.

This people don't listen to facts. They are communists, socialists, anti-America freaks. They listen to their own rhetoric.

Frankly, I protest their lack of concern for my welfare and the welfare of my grandchildren. If left to them, this country would not be here long as it would be totally overtaken or attacked.

They enjoy the freedoms that others have fought to win for them - through war, through death, yet - they do nothing to protect those freedoms. They do NOTHING to protect America - only to weaken America and allow all enemies free reign over America. They seek to take those freedoms so hard won, away from future generations.

Pfooey on them. If they want to protest - protest now - not after our soldiers go to fight for their freedom.

No worries there, we'll have shut down the Iraqi cities long before they manage to shut down Seattle. The police there are well versed in how to deal with these shenanigans.

Lending moral support to the enemy like these protesters are doing is "providing aid and comfort to the enemy" in my book.

". . . students have a different stake than older peace activists do. Older people aren't going to get recruited . . ."

Too funny. In the absence of a draft, these clowns are whining about recruiters.

In Seattle, antiwar activists are getting ready for the day the war starts. Several antiwar coalitions have put together a joint "Emergency Response" plan aimed at drawing attention to antiwar sentiment in Seattle. The plan kicks in as soon as Bush declares war, begins bombing, or deploys troops. On the day any one of these three things happens (or all three), activists plan to gather at the Federal Building at Second Avenue and Marion Street at 5:00 p.m., and then march to Westlake Center for a rally at 7:00 p.m. A weeklong vigil in front of the Federal Building will also commence that night. The following day, students from high schools and colleges are planning to walk out of their classes at noon and join other protesters downtown for another rally at Westlake Center.

... "I think there's going to be a huge, spontaneous anger that erupts," says Greg Deiter, a member of the Seattle Central Community College Student Anti-War Coalition on Capitol Hill.

Somehow, I'm having difficulty reconciling these two statements.

It won't fly in Texas, I tell you for true.

Do NOT get in front of a Texan's pickup truck when he is a little late for work. It is all your life is worth and more. :)

If these people commit terrorists activities, then they need to be treated as terrorists, charged, tried and convicted of terrorist criminality!!!!

These nitwits are going to come out of the woodwork whenever they even get a whiff of what they consider "political war".

One wonders if that is not the intent of political entities who should, but refuse, to proceed in a constitutionally prescribed fashion in these matters.

The Mayor and Chief of Police of Seattle will do nothing to stop them, even if the Saddam supporters start burning buildings and wrecking cars. Just wait and see. It happened before. Perhaps Patty Murray will join the protests--she has the credentials.

They wont get "tens of thousands" to march in support. The last march I saw in Seattle had a few hundred unemployable losers chanting anti-American slogans. They have the Red Marxist flags, they have the PLO flags, they have the effigies of Bush and Cheney, but the one thing they dont have is large numbers of people. The group is made up of 60's throwback pothead liberals, and jobless, homeless early-20's anarchist scum. All they have in common is their hatred of America.
