Notice that the area sheriff, William Hilton (D), said that he "resented" the appearance of the Bushes for Terrell. Did he resent Jesse Jackson's appearance for Landrieu? I think he would resent anything that might interfer with the customary Democrat victories in Central LA. This sheriff recently won a tax hike to fund higher pay for his low-paid deputies.

I don't recall any bantering from the sheriff, about Clinton coming to Louisiana in 1996 to stump for Landrieu, when she was running against Woody Jenkins. Mary's pictures have been all over the papers the last few days giving status to her thank you for the vote tour.
Everytime I think of the local republican "ladies" group out stumping for Rodney Alexander against Fletcher it sends me into hot flashes. Did they not think that this also hurt Terrell's chances as well. It only took a few of these losers to turn the tide, and giving the congressional seat to Rodney. These babes worked in the Holloway campaign and urged him on to speak out against Fletcher. Holloway even said that he thought that Fletcher was dangerous for our state.
Now our taxes are going to be paying for the new pay hike for Hilton's group.
I know that Terrell did not run the best campaign, but for Hilton to suggest that Cheney and Bush should not have come to Louisiana, is even more outrageous. I wish that Bush would have visited the entire state, more than once. He would have won that seat for Suzie.
Now our taxes are going up to pay for Hilton and his gang. How did this vote get passed. We normally do not vote to increase our taxes. The one that should have been voted for was for the library funding. At least the money would be put to good use.
