I'm between the Hilton and Ala Wai Canal - one block from the beach. Believe me it was loud - I felt the plane gearing(?) down. Later, when Rome2000 posted the story, even with all the joking, I knew the story was real but never dreamed it was so very close. They do not fly over the city.
