President Bush headed to Ft. Hood, Texas today to rally and to thank the many troops who serve from their home base. Bush used the opportunity to tout the military spending bill, as well as to once again assure all that we will win the war on terror. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

Thanks for the tip... I read it- with the understanding that -W- was wearing his heart on his sleeve. I didn't get the feel for it- like I've seen expressed here by our resident -W- afficienados (sic ?)

I keep trying C-SPAN but this dang blasted prompt / dialog box rears it's ugly head each and every time. I caught a couple minutes on Yahoo or MSNBC, but it wasn't the part that I was looking for. Maybe the White House will eventually put it up. Thanks.

Thanks for the kind words; watching the speech was far different from listening to it. There is nothing phony or plastic about our President. The emotions we see are genuine and it warms my heart to know that George W. Bush is not just another politician who became President. I want a President to consider the personal sacrifices of each and every member of our armed forces before he decides to go to war. In my humble opinion I believe George W. Bush really does care about ALL of us and his Presidency is not about him, it's about the country he was called to serve and the people he has pledged to protect.

I can't say I agree with all of his political moves or some of his policies, but deep in my heart I know he is here to serve us and he believes through Grace he will lead this country and the world to a better place before his 8 years are up.

I also believe that George W. Bush will endorse a candidate to replace him with this nations best interest in mind. Despite his party affiliation, George W. Bush has truly become the president of all the people and despite my own selfish political wants I understand the position he's in and why he has to compromise in order to get things done.

I also appreciate the fact that he has NEVER gotten into the mud with his critics, It shows he is above that kind of tit for tat back stabbing that turns most people off to politics. Unlike his predecessor, History will be kind to George W. Bush, His accomplishments so far are simply incredible and I believe when he climbs aboard Marine One for the last time and salutes the incoming Commander-in-Chief the world will be a much better place because of his leadership.

The fact is George W. Bush is a good man and I owe him my respect.

God Bless America

Mike, have you considered writing for a living???? You're very very good at putting down your feelings. I'm not kidding, have you considered it? You should.

You're way to kind, I could never write for any publication and be successful. The main reason is because I refuse to dwell in the world of negativity, and that's what sells. My wife says to me often that I pen a good letter, and I could be a speech writer. I just figured it was because she loves me :-)

They might print the negativity, but that doesn't mean that is what we want to read .. and the fact their numbers are down might explain their problem

Mike, BG is right .. you sure so have a way with words .. they come straight from the heart

Thanks Mo1,

I love this country and what America stands for. I'm an optimist to the core and have no time for negativity. That is what drew me to this daily thread and this website. For the most part, Conservatives are positive people who believe there isn't an obstacle that can't be overcome. We believe Almighty God created us all as equals and through Grace nothing can stop the work of God.

I believe in my heart that it's far easier to be negative and it's the lazy way out. People become successful NOT because of the way handle things that come easy, It's how we deal with the that challenge us. To me it's a constant learning experience and if you can find a way to focus on the positive things, You're better equipped to overcome the challenges of life and not dwell in the negative.

If you want to see a prime example of negativity and ignorancs at it's worst? Check out THIS THREAD All the lost have gathered in one place tonight, and the thread I linked is where the're at.

Most of them are Pat Buchanan supporters and I see Pat Buchanan as nothing but a skin head in a $1,500.00 suit

You would think that that same group of un-appeasables would get tired of who can whine the most. They must be really lonely people and we should show pitty on them :-)I firmly believe that some of them are on the payroll of the DNC and come here to plant seeds.

The thread I linked above has all of them in a frenzy over a website that has nothing to do with policy. It's just a website for those who speak spanish. Most all Government websites offer a spanish version. My guess is that they're just as desperate as the RATS to bash the President. SAD, VERY SAD
