It's ironic to me that people who cast aspersions on literate, pyramid-building, successful cultures as 'savages' turn around and swallow whole the invisible-man superstitions of desert dwellers from thousands of years ago.

literate, pyramid-building, successful cultures "Successful???" Uh huh. You see a lot of Mayan influence in today's stock market, technology, and arts. They're as "successful" as the dodo.
The anthropological evidence for Judeo-Christianity exists. I don't know what's "invisible" about it, except to those wearing revisionist blinders.
