The three winters I spent there, Rika, this time of year it stayed around 40 below zero as the
HIGH for the day, and at mostly 50 below.
These 'warm' chinook spells didn't usually arrive until the middle of January, and then dropped back to around 30 below into April.
The amazing thing is you do get used to it, and I am from Florida!!
One can handle anything in your 20's and 30's!

Enjoyed my vacation down in FL....didn't want to come back :-( We had the BEST weather....typical December weather....cool at night and "just right" during the day! Well, dansy... you were lucky with the weather.....this is an El Nino winter....severe storms about every 7 days since Thanksgiving! But in between it is glorious!

severe storms about every 7 days since Thanksgiving!That was the first thing that struck us driving down....the roadside canals were full and everything was lush green! A sure sign that y'all had been getting lots of rain!
When .45MAN and I moved up from FL 4 and a half years ago, it was during one of the driest years, the daytime highs were 100 and above for more than 20 out of 30 days, and the whole state was on fire. It's such a pleasure to see everything green and growing once again!

No complaints from me.....I love it green & lush too!
Some nights have been in the 40s so we've had to take in our orchids. They can't survive under 55 degrees!
