So sorry to hear about Donald J. Dovey. My parents met in the Tacoma (WA) Mountaineers and we attended many of their events growing up. It's a great oganization. I extend my sincere condolences to his parents.

Please, Dear Lord, grant strength and healing to the parents of the young man that You called home to be with You. May their faith sustain them through this horrific ordeal.

Dear Lord,

I lift up John and Ellen in prayer. May You comfort them in this time of tragic loss of their beloved son, Donald. They may go through a range of emotions today and in the days to come, Lord, from denial to anger to sadness to despair. I pray that You surround them with love and reassurance that all is well within You.

Nobody understands why this happened, Lord. I pray that You grant John and Ellen the strength to get through this. It is also my sincere prayer that they bundle up all their grief, confusion, and sadness and turn it over to You and let You take charge and heal their hearts and spirit. Your Will be done, Lord.
