"I hate war," Chamlkovic said in an e-mail exchange. "I hate people die [sic]."
Well, do you "hate people taken by special forces and brought before a military tribunal" also?
Cause that's what I see in your future if you try this.

So basically he says the CIA needs to take him out first... ..Was just going to post something like that. It would do a lot of good if a few of them were whacked.
..Are you LISTENING, CIA?
(Insert Carnivore bait)

This guy would definitely be a good target for a CIA assassination.

I would not be surprised if, upone hearing this news, the INS has not dispatched a tourist visa for this fellow: we need all the terrorists on our soil we can get.

Hackers overrate their ability to accomplish things in the real world. "Vladimor" isn't a very oriental-sounding name there. He's probably a Serb or Czech guest-worker at one of Malaysia's computer companies - most likely one that markets suspiciously timely anti-virus software.
To: Jhoffa_
I would think, strictly by his threat, that he has made himself a major target not only by the US, but also by Australia, and probably by Malaysia itself. Chamey-boy better figure out where the heck Gitmo is and think of a explanation for his U.S. Army handlers. Gitmo is designed for just people like him and I think we could probably sit on his personal rights for two to three years while awaiting further evidence. I wouldn't waste a lot of time....send in a team and take the guy right now.

Exactly.
My guess is it's an ego thing. He wants to be famous.

The root servers, which control nearly all the communication on the Internet, were flooded with so much data that they shut down. Correction, less than half of the 13 servers were shut down, which resulted in internet service being a little slower for a couple of days. The system of root servers is designed so that internet service will continue unabated even if most of the servers are shut down. The system is designed to be oversized and multiple-redundant.
Contrary to this article, the internet was not shut down and most people never saw a noticeable difference in the internet. What happened was serious but this article is playing it up more than it should be.

This actually makes him a valid target of the US Department of Defense if his virus makes its way onto any DOD system:) My-my, haven't the rules changed! Of course, we would like to catch him first and talk to him if at all possible, but... if he resists, he might be injured....

I say put this guy on the CIA list of people that are authorized to be killed without approval from higher authority.
The way to treat this guy is to put his head on a stick and e-mail the GPS coordinates of his body's location to his computer geek buddies so that they can come get him. They can have a little funeral or throw him in a dumpster, who really cares? That's a better lesson than the usual 6 months in jail and probation. This guy is working for al-Qaeda and should be treated as such.

Don't overlook the default explanation - "Vladimor" is an angry 13 year old with no friends, posting from the high-tech confines of Mom's basement.... ;)

Dispatch a couple of CIA agents. Find him. He commits suicide by jumping off a building. End of (his) threat.
Another case in which we need to fight the enemy using the enemy's ethos. (Our ethos is going to get us killed.)

Ecerpt from InfoSec news article:
"So in summary.. we have five or six of the most pathetic worms you can
possibly find on Symantec's site I believe. These are the same crappy
worms we have seen for the last year or more. Look at the number of
infections, distribution, threat containment and removal. Easy and Low
(was re: pathetic). This guy sounds like a script kiddy of the virus
world.
To summarize: They aren't organized. They have no skills. They have no
capability to mount a CYB3R0FFENSIVE, but it COULD BE BAD OMG OMG OMG
BUY OUR SERVICE JUST IN CASE.
Jeez, talk about irresponsible. Verton, Kelley and that Symantec dork
need to start being honest with the public and their clients, and
maybe themselves some day.
"
> Melhacker, who has also gone by the name Kamil, may have had some
> involvement in the September release of the BugBear mass-mailing
> network attack worm. According to iDefense, Melhacker has close ties
> to Nur Mohammad Kamil, who identifies himself as part of a group
> known as "A.Q.T.E. Al-Qaeda Network." Melhacker has also associated
> himself with the al-Qaeda network for a long period and has been an
> active Malaysian malicious coder threat for at least six years.

Virus, Virii and Viren is a same meaning. Virus can be made if you are advance in programming such as Turbo Pascal, C++, Assembler and also VBS. Email at me for any question about Virus or else...
i'm bored!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i found many virii in Malaysia such as sircam, js_karmahotel.a, melhacker worm, w32.spaces.1445 and many more...
NORTON ANTI-VIRUS HAS DETECT MY NEW VIRUS CALLED W32.CBOMB. It's really serious damage....
other websites and links:

http://vx.netlux.org/~melhacker/main_malay.html
a brief definition of one of his virii as shown on symantec site:
W32.Kamil is a Trojan horse that attempts to download a variant of W32.BleBla worm from the Internet. The new variant of W32.BleBla is detected as W32.BleBla.J.Worm. W32.Kamil also moves all files from the Windows and Desktop folders to the C:\Nur_Mohd_Kamil folder, which is created by W32.Kamil and is very similar to W32.Cbomb.
