"Kristov must build a playing field that gives all parties an equal chance and figure how to prevent cheating. Sort of like the way National Football League owners tinker with rules each season to make their game safer or more exciting."

To me, this "engineering" of markets, football leagues, human nature, etc., is pure unadulterated buffalo scat!!!

Quit trying to stack the deck against human nature and good natured humans before you drive this nation/state into the dang ground!!!

It's getting pathetic, this "search for fairness" in an unfair world that's never been fair in it's history!!!

It's all based on a "Dependency Class," ruled by an "Elite Class" and this nation has never been about CERFDOM!!!

Building power plants, improving the transmission grid and renegotiating long-term contracts are the responsibilities of others

California should be "cut adrift" on electricity.

Their politics cost the surrounding states stable voltage power for two summers in a row.

This is a classic case, as written about in Atlas Shrugged.

Every single Republican should walk out and refuse to participate.

Every single business owner that has been abused, should relocate to another State.

California went off the deep end, and we must not be involved in any way. They got the government they wanted, and now it is time for them to learn the lessons of history the hard way.

Actually, I will be watching very closely any business or Republican that dares to support this disaster.

Not a bad article considering. But I had to laugh at this:
Kristov must build a playing field that gives all parties an equal chance and figure how to prevent cheating. Sort of like the way National Football League owners tinker with rules each season to make their game safer or more exciting

I guess he thinks Californians are too dumb to understand simple economics. But he explained some of that stuff later, so I forgive him.

He also erred in that only PG&E went bankrupt. SCE did not.

Thanks for posting it.
