"The RATS never cared about elevating Blacks, it's time for Blacks to realize this." There could be no greater threat to the Rat party than blacks who think for themselves, and especially if they are the type who work to convert others. In the days of slavery, it was illegal to teach a slave to read because it was known that education would instill a vision of a better life which would have been counterproductive to the staus quo. While in modern times it may not be illegal to teach reading, the RAT regulated public schools appear to be dedicated to proliferating ignorance while all the while using the proliferation of ignorance as an excuse to drain more money out of taxpayers to support educational failure.
Keep God out. We can't have people thinking they are created in God's image. They might expect more from themselves. They might even learn to tell the difference between right and wrong and truth and lies. If that ever happened, the Rats' goose is cooked. Don't teach history other than the Rat revised version. We can't have people knowing their rights because then they might make trouble for those who are not upholding them. Don't encourage excellence in literacy. It might stimulate independent thought, and we have already determined that Rats have no worse enemy than people who can think for themselves. Finally, instill lots of fear of all things traditional. Along with faith, teach them to fear values and morality as constraints on individual will and commitment to excellence as a way of keeping others down. Attack the traditonal family as a vehicle intended to hold one lifestyle as superior to others as if this is bad thing. Avoid anything that smacks of patriotism, maintaining that it is the fanatical promotion of violence against the oppressed and the elevation of one race or culture above another. And whatever you do, don't let them get a taste of the real freedom for which this nation was founded for they may then long for it and furthur promulgate ideas that would work against the Rat party agenda.

The democrat heavy big media will bury the story, unfortunately.

Pelosi displayed lying, deceit and cronyism all rolled into one political move.
She promised that Bill Jefferson was a serious contender for the leadership position. (Lie)
She attempted to sink his consideration by pushing "a story that Jefferson had failed to repay past campaign debts." (Desception)
Then a staffer said "I don't think anyone thought Jefferson was right for the job. In this environment, we just couldn't say it." (lie) When what they needed was a win in the Pro-Bush enviornment which is what Jefferson delivered by helping Landrieu get reelected.
And, for the icing on the cake, the San Fran liberal tapped Matsui who "never campaigned for the leadership post, was never mentioned as a candidate and has never served in leadership in a congressional career that many inside his party consider marginal." (cronyism)
This whole story would be a non-issue because the DNC routinely stab the black community in the back. However, considering the Lott fiasco, this was a major political blunder as well.

"She had an
opportunity to show America our party was the real big tent, that we could see past color and recognize talent and hard work."
In a party that stands for Affirmative Action and Quotas, how in Hell can anyone conclude they would "show" America anything other than unfairness and foul play?!
Wake the F up!

Agreed, the Matsui appointment is very good news for us -- he won't sell anyplace outside of California or New York.
Frost, a proven fundraiser, would have been much more formidable.
Do you know if Daschle has made a companion appointment to the DSCC on the Senate side?

Thanks. That is both good and bad for us. The bad part is that he knows a lot of money in a lot of states and he is swarmy enough to shake people down without dirting his fingernails. The good part is that people don't like him, and he will not sell on Main Street... an investment banker worth hundreds of millions complaining about a tax cut for the "rich"... and he looks like he hasn't washed his hair in a month.
Mano-a-mano on TV, Allen will sell over Corzine every time.

That was really a "tongue-in-cheek" comment. There are damn few Conservative Democrats in the House, but there probably are a few Democrats who will not be at all pleased with Comrades Pelosi and Matsui.
We'll see. The first session of the 108th could be verrrry interesting!

I'm late to grab my ringside seat but it is interesting that Jefferson has a degree in Taxation. Maybe he's a little too smart for the RAT leadership. Maybe more hay should be made over passing him up.

That is my take on it, also. He and his CoS are most interested in fundamental tax reform.

Matsui is nothing but a liberal from California, a crony," says the Jefferson supporter. Ummm, isn't he also an Asian?
