NEEDED--RECOMMENDATIONS OF MOTIVATIONAL SHORT STORIES

I am trying to remember the rather grandiose title of a small blue booklet which contained a motivational story told in two parts. The first part consisted of one man trying to convince his friend to let him read the story. The second part was tips for a successful life, the first of which was to not spend time with negative people who are time-wasters. Any suggestions as to what the title might have been? By the way, it's not a recent publication.

Your description reminds me of a couple of books described on this site.

This company is owned by Ken Roberts, kind of a financial guru, comodity trader. A great guy, and very Libertarian.

He finds great books and sells them, or buys the rights to them, and re-prints them himself if he has to.

Just a little side note, the books by Vernon Howard contain the Meaning of Life, if that type of thing interests you.

It sounds something like "The World's Greatest Salesman." That's a pretty grandiose title, the book is very short, but I can't really remember too much else. (I figure that if that's the title, you'll recognize it.)

I'm not one hundred percent sure, but I'm thinking that the book's title refers to Jesus, but the book is in no way a "religious" or "Christian" book.

Interesting question.

I went into Borders to get a gift certificate and saw a new short book by Ben Stein: How to Ruin Your Life, which was $8. So I bought a copy for my friend's eldest daughter.

Basically he tells you what not to do by telling you what to do if you want to mess up your life.

A nice light touch; I've only glanced through it.
