I never saw any mention of what looks to be at least 3 biological fathers. Do they have no responsibility in Californiastan?

Five kids ... three different last names ...

... and they wonder why they were so long on welfare?

Its report found that most of the welfare recipients coming off CalWORKS are working -- about 91 percent, for instance, in Santa Clara County and 65 percent in Sacramento. Most don't speak English.

MOST DON'T SPEAK ENGLISH?!!!! How in the world are you going to get a job when you do not speak the language of the country?!!!

Holguin is sitting on a plush purple couch in front of a mirrored coffee table. Wearing a gold necklace and rings on her index finger and thumb and with her hair pulled back into a bun, she exudes confidence and has created a home environment that defies the welfare stereotype.

What is this woman doing having a gold necklace and rings, AND also getting welfare checks?!!!

Sacramento County officials said that by factoring in these benefit gains, the average person to leave the welfare rolls in California will suffer a net loss of only $88 a month.

Yeah, good thing there are dozens of other welfare programs that kick in and make this almost meaningless.

The biggest hurdle is the attitude of the welfare spongers. They have little or no soft skills (playing well with others at work) and are not people I want in my workplace. This welfare mama is not missing meals it seems, nor are the chilldrenn.
