[history]
He joined the Iranian Air Force before the country's 1979 revolution and served through a bloody eight-year war against Iraq, rising to the rank of captain.
But he wasn't comfortable with the policies of Iran's post-revolution government and sought political asylum in Canada. There, the new Canadian citizen spent several years in Vancouver, British Columbia, where he and his family converted from Islam to Christianity.

Ted Kennedy's immigration "reform" bill of 1965, signed into law by Lyndon Johnson. This bill effectively limits European immigration and opens the floodgates Third World immigration. These immigrants will normally vote for those that promise them a "free ride" and give it to them.

These people should not stand for this and should leave the country in protest.

I wonder how many of these Iranians supported the Revolution that got rid of the Shah ----any who did need to go back to the Islamic paradise they helped create.

Did anybody bother to find out what this person's immigration status is?
Canada is a close friend and we have an excellent visiting relationship. Canadians can more or less freely cross back and forth across the border but thier are limits. Canadians are allowed to be in the U.S. for six months out of the year. They are NOT able to just "mové" here nor are they permitted to work here without authorization. I believe this is a reciprocal agreement. Neither can U.S. citizens simply "move" to Canada. The six month limit also applies.
My guess is that this guy decided he wanted to stay in the U.S. and did not bother with those pesky details. If so, then he would be an illegal alien and subject to arrest.
I would like to see that point addressed before I would condemn the Justice Department.

Why can't I just stay here? My father and his seven brothers came here 20 years ago and they've never been arrested? /sarcasm
