Was this before or after Lott threw himself on the mercy of the liberal left, confessed that he was part of an "immoral" racist southern GOP and pledged his support for affirmative action or whatever other position might help redeem his image with the left wing racebaiters?
The Right whimped out, and the Left won again. We can't even get rid of someone who demostratably broke Federal laws; (B.C.). But THEY can get rid of someone by twisting words, sticking together no matter how outrageous their position is, and by screaming to their boot licking media.
