As someone who knows what it's like to have a mother reject her, I will not be so quick to blame Laura. We do not know what went into the estrangement. Don't jump to conclusions.

I'm sure there are plenty Freepers here who has an estranged family member. It's really not all that uncommon, and your remark just rubs me the wrong way.
However, you're entitled to your opinion, as I am mine.
