Do you have golden eagles out there that take care of the dead ones? Seeing a flared-talon majestic bird like that swoop in is enough reason to buy a .22-250 all by its ownself... A guy told me this, I hope it isn't a rural legend.

Yep. Unless the hawks, coyotes, feral dogs or an occasional bald eagle gets there first.
